There’s an incredible, physics-defying scene in Furious 7 where Brian (Paul Walker) and Dom (Vin Diesel) drive a sports car from one Abu Dhabi skyscraper into another—and just before they realize their brakes don’t work, they then use the rare, $3.4 million car to soar from that skyscraper into yet another before screeching to a hair-raising halt.
The car in that stunt is a Lykan HyperSport, a supercar from Dubai-based W Motors. At the time of filming, only seven of the beasts had been made, and each was outfitted with custom rubies, replete with diamonds in the headlights and a gold-plated roof. Safe to say, W Motors’ follow-up had to be pretty insane.
Enter the Fenyr SuperSport, the latest addition to the W Motors lineup of Hypercars. The Arab company announced the vehicle with some OG Norse literature, writing on their Facebook page: “The earth will shake violently, trees will be uprooted, mountains will fall, and all binds will snap–Fenyr will be free.”
That’s a little grandiose, sure. But the Fenyr is no joke. Limited to only 25 units per year, the car delivers 900-hp and 885 lb-ft of torque and allegedly achieves 0 to 60 in 2.7 seconds. Top speeds exceed 250 mph.
Just in case you needed a refresher, here’s the Lykan Hypersport flying through Abu Dhabi skies in Furious 7:
Ride or die, indeed.
