Our favorite woman in a tank top (next to Playmate Pamela Horton), Lara Croft, is back in the fourth installment of the Tomb Raider series with a complete reboot of the franchise, and our resident Gamer Next Door Pamela Horton couldn’t wait to get into the studio to review one of her favorite iconic franchises.
Croft has always been the thick-skinned, hardened action hero we’ve known since she made her debut in 1996. But in this action-adventure, third-person origin game, we get a peek into what made Lara Croft the icon she is today. The reimagining chronicles Croft’s rise from a hurt, frightened woman whose mental and physical abilities are pushed to the limit as she tries to rescue her friends and escape from an island to the battle-hardened badass we know and love.
Between Croft’s physical reaction to the ever-changing wind and rain, and graphic options like depth of field, Developer Crystal Dynamics didn’t cut any corners when it came to game realism.
Pamela’s take on it? You’ll just have to watch the video to find out.
