Gamer Next Door Pamela Horton got a special invite to the Paramount lot, where developers of the highly anticipated and fittingly titled Star Trek: The Video Game have been mulling over the past three years developing the epic action-adventure game. Aiming to bridge the gap between J.J. Abrams’ 2009 reboot of the Star Trek franchise and its forthcoming sequel, Star Trek Into Darkness, the video game follows its own storyline as you battle it out with iconic monsters like the Gorn with 23rd century technology. The biggest decision you’ll have to make is which iconic character you’ll be playing as: the level-headed Spock or the loose cannon Kirk.

But we’re getting ahead of ourselves here.
