There’s a ballsy new way to raise testicular cancer awareness.
All you have to do is grab your crotch, have somebody take a picture of it and then post it on social media, preferably with the hashtag #feelingnuts. Then, challenge others to top your photo.
It’s called The Crotch Grab Challenge. The initiative is one of the first to come out of the woodwork and blatantly imitate the wildly popular Ice Bucket Challenge to raise ALS awareness and research funds. The main difference is that there isn’t a call to donate to a specific organization once your picture is posted.
It was created by Check One Two, an organization out of the UK who are all about testicular cancer awareness. Their website is a lovely resource for ensuring that you’re doing all you can to regularly monitor your jewels and detect testicular cancer early, if indeed you become afflicted. There are videos on the site that show how to properly check, and you can even set a calendar alert to “remind you to check your wang danglers.”
Celebrities like Hugh Jackman, Ricky Gervais, Jamie Oliver and, oddly enough, Ellie Goulding, have posted their crotch grabs to Instagram, and have challenged other celebs en masse.
