Did you make it to the straight pride parade in Seattle last Saturday? I already know the answer, because absolutely no one showed up for the event.
Technically, that’s not true. The man who organized the parade was there. But I’m not sure he counts, since it was his idea.
Anthony Rebello, a hetero-activist of sorts, created the event to “celebrate (his) right to be heterosexual, and to encourage younger heterosexuals that they should be proud of their heterosexuality.”
Of course, Seattle’s LGBT community collectively pounced on the event page and let loose with their unfiltered thoughts on the ill-advised event, especially the route that Mr. Rebello had chosen for his parade.
The fact that Rebello’s parade of one went through the heart of Seattle’s gay district led many to question his motives. And a quick trip to his Facebook page found some rants against gay marriage and transsexuals.
But this is America, and posting stupid shit on Facebook isn’t a crime, so the parade went ahead. But in the end, nobody fed the troll, except for all the websites that posted articles about him. Sorry, my bad.
