Once called “the dumbest idea” by his girlfriend (and likely others), the founder of Potato Parcel is apparently making bank. And while there are so many reasons to think the whole business is a joke—especially when the 24-year-old North Texan gives indoor interviews in sunglasses and overalls—the dude is making upwards of $10,000 a month.
So what’s this startup’s so-dumb-it’s-brilliant-I-guess business model? Just write requested messages on a potato (priced between $8 and $10) and mail it to the right address. That’s it. So lose cards on birthdays and flowers on Valentine’s Day and mail your beloveds potatoes! They’ll suuuuuurely remember it.
