I’ve always said that if I ever win the lotto, I’m going to spend my days getting drunk and playing with Legos (probably on a yacht). But apparently you don’t have to win the lotto to pursue such mediocre dreams (except for the part about the yacht). You just have to defraud your employer.
Former Harvard employee Shawn Bunn, 44, has been arrested and accused of making $80,000 worth of unauthorized charges on a university-issued credit, and then falsifying his receipts in order to cover his tracks.
University officials took a closer look at Bunn’s purchases during a financial review, and discovered he’d been using the card to buy personal items including Lego sets and Apple products. No word yet on what type of Legos he was buying. Hopefully it was something really cool, like the Star Wars Star Destroyer, and not some bulls##t Harry Potter crap.
Bunn has been charged with larceny, false entry in corporate books, and using forged documents. He is due back in court on Oct. 28th.
