Nintendo’s centerpiece this week at E3 2016 in Los Angeles, the biggest gaming event of the year, is The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. If you’re wondering what Link’s latest adventure is going to be like, you’ll want to watch these videos that give a sense of how huge it is.
There’s the trailer above that came out earlier this week, as well as a lengthy demo of Link ravaging monsters with his various weapons, setting things on fire, and generally wandering Breath of the Wild’s massive world. The video also gives a sense of how things in Zelda will work going forward, like how weapons will weaken and break down over time, prompting players to seek out newer, better ones.
Cool as it seems, we’ll all be waiting a while for Zelda, since Nintendo pushed it back to 2017. That might be for the best, however. The game is looking enormous, and Nintendo is nothing if not polished. At the very least, more time before release should give Nintendo time to make sure all that tall grass looks absolutely stunning.
