People regret what they do when they’re high all the time. From ordering and eating four burritos when one is more than enough to watching 2 Broke Girls because you assume it’s poorly written softcore, stoners operate on a level of logic not immediately understood. Sure, sometimes, you wake up with several pages of a manifesto the next day, but there’s not really life-changing consequences after smoking weed—unless you call the cops on yourself.

Such was the case of Leland Ayala-Doliente and Holland Sward, two dudes in their early 20s driving from Las Vegas to Bozeman, Montana, with more than 20 pounds of marijuana in the car. Feeling really, really, really confident they were already being tailed by plainclothes officers and the jig was up, they called to turn themselves in shortly after crossing the Idaho border.

You can now listen to the stunning turn of events unfold between Ayala-Doliente and the 911 dispatcher. Seriously, listen to the audio. It’s likely going to be the premise for a movie one day, and Dave Franco will be in it.
