It seems like every day there’s some new announcement of new rebooted takes of beloved movies or tv shows, and Hollywood isn’t going to slow down just because you aren’t very happy about in. In fact, they’re going to take one of those shows you really loved as a kid, and they’re going to give it another spin. That’s right, CBS is rebooting “MacGyver.”

James Wan, the director and creator of the Saw films and most recent helmer of the Fast and Furious franchise, has long championed the project, and will lead the reboot for CBS.

While there aren’t many details available at this time, CBS will almost certainly be dropping McG’s notorious mullet and is said to be following a “20-something” version of the hero, who:

“gets recruited into a clandestine organization where he uses his knack for solving problems in unconventional ways to help prevent disasters from happening.”

So Macgyver, but younger, and better looking, and probably some kind of a hacker. Sounds like a perfect fit for CBS!
