The gang on It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia proved that the only activity that beats drinking wine is drinking wine from a can. But a new job posting suggests there’s an even better way to spend your time (and get paid for it): drinking wine from a can, in a van.
This summer, Union Wine Company is traveling around the country in a tricked-out, ‘72 Citroën mobile wine bar. They’ll be stopping at the biggest summer festivals to show off their Oregon vinos, including the Underwood Wine in a Can (with wines like Rosé Bubbles) and they’re looking for a new team member to join in on the shenanigans. Minimum requirements include the ability to adapt to stressful conditions (like when your wine can runs out), drive large vehicles, and lift 50 pounds repeatedly, so start curling now. Union Wine prefers candidates who are comfortable “sleeping in alternative spots” with “minimal amenities”—read: homeless people—as well as folks who can work a flexible schedule (you’ll have to be away from home for 1 to 4 months at a time) and those who can “think outside the bottle,” because wine in a can.
Your official title will be “Canbassador,” but maybe your bosses will be open to a better pun. If this sounds like the gig for you, act fast: You only have until May 7 to turn in your cover letter and resume.
