Do you believe in Christmas miracles? Well, you will now, because Ice Cube is remaking A Christmas Carol.

Deadline reports that the iconic rapper and actor, fresh off the success of Straight Outta Compton (which he produced), is set to star in Humbug, a retelling of the Charles Dickens classic in which he’ll play a modern version of Scrooge. According to the report, Cube’s Scrooge will be a grumpy real estate mogul visited by three spirits (please let one of them be Snoop, please let one of them be Snoop…) who show him the path to his redemption on Christmas Eve.

Ride Along director Tim Story is on board to helm the project, which has a potential 2017 release date. So, in just two short years we could all hear Ice Cube say the words we never knew we wanted to hear: “Humbug, motherfucker.”
