Iggy Azalea is an interesting pop culture figure. I mean, she’s famous… right? Clearly, but I don’t know anyone, nor have I met anyone or even heard of anyone, who’s a diehard Iggy Azalea fan. I honestly don’t know who’s attending Iggy Azalea concerts or buying her merchandise or albums.
Don’t get me wrong: I’m not hating on her. It just seems like she, or someone working in the shadows behind her, tried to force this character on us, the audience, and it didn’t feel genuine. It resulted in a couple singles flopping and an entire tour being canceled. Then, much like Batman in The Dark Knight Rises, Iggy disappeared. Before last week’s release of “Can’t Lose,” we hadn’t had a new song or music video in quite some time, and I’m sure that was by design. Iggy and her team are planning something—a comeback, if you will.
If these recent Instagram pictures are any indication of what’s to come, then Iggy Azalea might come back stronger than ever.
