Jealous Woman Who Can’t Spell Accused of Keying “Wore” into Rival’s Car Hood

Jealous Woman Who Can’t Spell Accused of Keying “Wore” into Rival’s Car Hood: Shannon Csapilla (via Stamford Police Department).

Yesterday, while writing a cheap joke about grammar, I made a typo, and ended up looking like a fool. But the nice thing about digital technology is that spelling mistakes can be easily fixed. Unfortunately for Shannon Csapilla of Stamford, Connecticut, the same is not true when keying words into car hoods.

Csapilla was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree criminal mischief for allegedly keying the word “wore” into her former friend’s car. She is also accused of slashing the vehicle’s tires, as well as vandalizing her ex-boyfriend’s car in a similar manner.

At first, police were confused as to why anyone would carve the past tense of “wear” into a car. But they soon learned that Csapilla had sent the victims threatening text messages because she believed they were romantically involved. The cops then put two and two together, and decided that Csapilla was probably trying to spell “whore,” and just forgot an “h.”

Csapilla is currently free after posting a $10,000 bond. That’s a lot of money. But luckily, she is very attractive, and will probably have no problem finding someone who is willing to work with her as a free spelling tutor (feel free to DM me on Twitter, Shannon).
