Jennifer Lawrence is not afraid to be honest with the press. She famously wrote an essay about Hollywood’s wage gap between men and women actors. It generated a lot of controversy, the kind that most A-list stars traditionally try to avoid.
She’s also talked openly about her relationships and, in some cases, her lack thereof. In an interview this past fall, she joked about her recent dry spell by saying, “Cheers to my hymen growing back!”
In a new interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Jennifer is once again speaking out on all the topics she’s known for discussing.
While discussing her recent relationships, she said, “Sex? Someone explain to me what it is.”
Well…uh…when a man loves a woman very much…No no no. Ok, how about this: There are birds and there are bees…and flowers are involved I think.
Luckily, I’m pretty sure she’s joking. So we won’t need to have the awkward conversation every parent gives their teenage child.
She also talked about her infamous essay and said she doesn’t really care about mincing her words to avoid pissing people off. She said, “I’m over trying to find the ‘adorable’ way to state my opinion and still be likable.”
Honestly, Jennifer Lawrence would still find a way to be likable even if she was advocating that puppies and kittens aren’t cute or that Nickelback is a good band.
Head over to Harper’s Bazaar to read more about Jennifer talking about feminism and hanging out with Adele, Emma Stone and Woody Harrelson.
