By now, Jimmy Kimmel Live’s “Lie Witness News” segment is well-trodden territory. The late-night host sends a reporter to ask people their opinions about non-existent things. It can range from fake bands at Coachella to fake World Cup goals. The resulting responses are hilarious and showcase how desperate folks are to be in the know.

Few groups are more hungry to be up on the next big thing than the fanboys and girls of fashion. So Kimmel dispatched a team to New York Fashion Week to find out what people thought of a group of non-existent designers, including Chandler Bing, Betsy Ross, and my personal favorite, Teddy Ruxpin.

This isn’t the first time that Kimmel has trolled fashion week attendees, and we have a feeling it won’t be the last.
