The same day Kanye West was everyone’s hero at the FYF fest, he sent fans into a tizzy over his latest line of Adidas sneakers, which sold out Saturday morning almost immediately after they went on sale.
Fans queued for hours outside Adidas stores from London to Chicago to get their hands on the $200 limited edition shoes, called the Yeezy Boost 350.
Unfortunately for those eager fans who waited outside brick-and-mortar stores, most of the sneakers were snatched up by people who pre-ordered online. Let this be a lesson to never procrastinate, kids: Even those who tried to buy the Yeezy Boost 350’s online Saturday were met with a static “sold out” webpage.
Now the going rate for Kanye’s new duds is somewhere between $700 and $1,150 on eBay. Fans everywhere expressed their disappointment the best way they knew how—through Kanye gifs:
This isn’t the first time Kanye has taken the shoe-world by storm: His 2013 line of Yeezy Boots, also an Adidas collaboration, sold out in just 10 minutes.
