I recently got back in the gym after taking a couple of months off (I guess I’m doing that cliché New Years Resolution thing). Needless to say, every day that I come home, I cannot move one part of my body. Whether I’m working out my chest, back, arms, shoulders, core or legs, the soreness is very, very real these days. There is one muscle, however, that I can’t work out. The reason I can’t is because I’m a male, and I don’t have that part.
Yup, I’m talking about Kegels. For lack of a better term, that’s the workout that women do to strengthen their, um, lady muscle. It’s basically just the process of constricting and contracting that part in order for it to grow stronger. Women can do it practically anywhere, at any time throughout the day. They don’t even need to go to the gym to do that workout.
Well, Kate Upton takes this stuff pretty serious. Not only does she go to the gym to do her Kegels, but she throws 8 plates onto a bench-press bar to do them. I’m not exactly sure she’s doing that right, or if that exercise is working the muscle she thinks it is, but regardless, that’s a lot of weight and good for her for trying.
The gym certainly is working for her, because Kate looks great.
