Perhaps sensing the storm gathering and the backlash forming, Katy Perry went to near Herculean lengths to sell her new album Witness. The promotional blitz came to a head over the weekend, as Perry livestreamed her four-day staycation at an L.A. loft. Those who actually took the time out to watch this thing called it a “slog,” which, let’s face it, pretty much sums up Perry’s whole creative output these days.

Perhaps sensing that her Big Brother-style stunt had gone awry, Perry decided to up the ante on Sunday, during a visit from her new friend James Corden. In a segment called “Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts” which was their gross-out version of “truth or dare,” the subject of Perry’s famous list of ex-lovers came up. More specifically, Corden asked Perry to rank Orlando Bloom, John Mayer and Diplo in the bedroom from worst to best.

Because celebrities aren’t typically supposed to talk about having sex with other celebrities, Perry was hesitant…at first. “They are all amazing lovers and I would have sex with all of them after I get out of this place,” she said. But Corden wouldn’t let up, and began ranking them for her. When he landed on an order that had Diplo as the worst lover, Bloom in the middle and Mayer with the cahmpionship belt, Perry nodded in agreement.

Though the segment accomplished Perry’s goal of getting major publicity, it also exposed an ugly double standard in Hollywood. If a celebrity wants to reveal intimate details about his or her sexual history, he or she needs consent from their former partner. Wilmer Valderamma is still paying the price for telling Howard Stern that he took Mandy Moore’s virginity, while Mayer earned permanent sleazebag status for his now infamous Playboy interview in which he compared Jessica Simpson to “sexual napalm.”

Earlier in the livestream, Perry apologized for her past instances of cultural appropriation. Perhaps she should issue one to her ex-boyfriends as well (especially Diplo).
