If you think the new Kawasaki Ninja H2R is just another crotch rocket, you deserve to have a throwing star hurled at your nuts. The latest motorcycle in the Ninja line is quite possibly the finest high-performance production bike ever built.

The new Ninja is an engineering marvel. It has a supercharged engine that is more commonly seen in sports cars and puts out 300 horsepower, 100 more than the BMW S1000RR, the previous ruler in the category. The carbon fiber bodywork was designed by Kawasaki’s aerospace division, which spends most of its time working on jets. (That might explain the Ninja’s wings.) And since the average rider would be more like an out-of-control missile on the streets with this thing, the Ninja H2R is built specifically for the track.

Pricing and release info for the Kawasaki Ninja H2R have not been released yet. In the meantime, watch (and listen) to the bike screaming around corners at this track test. Try not to drool.
