On the cover of V Magazine’s latest issue, Kendall Jenner flaunts a massive tattoo of a snake on her thigh, but the body art isn’t permanent. The new issue is available with six different covers, and each one features a model with an impressive fake tattoo. Jenner and fellow models Joan Smalls, Lara Stone, Ellen Rosa, Carolyn Murphy, and Amber Valletta were photographed by Mario Testino.

The custom temporary tattoos were drawn by body artist Jenai Chin, who told the magazine, “The way I work with it is that I’ll have a drawing; I’ll make a stencil of it and the stencil is made out of the same things that we do for real tattoos, so that goes onto the skin and instead of me using a needle and ink, I just use paint and airbrushing. Depending on what each girl got, the tattoo could have run anywhere from a half hour to an hour and a half. Kendall’s was very large with a lot of line work.”

Jenner does have a few real tattoos, but they’re tiny and hard to see. She has a white ink heart on each of her middle fingers — a full heart on her right hand and a broken heart on her left hand — and the word “meow” is tattooed inside her lip.

And here are a few visual reminders that Kendall doesn’t need a thigh tattoo to be smokin’ hot:
