At the upcoming Monterey Car Week, Koenigsegg will show off the Agera XS, the first version of the Agera RS (its owner wanted to name it “XS”) to land on American soil and, more importantly, on American roads. Despite its mind-blowing stats, the Agera XS is a street-legal monster, so this thing could appear in your rearview mirror and haunt your dreams.
The Agera XS has a bright Karosserie Orange paint job with a diamond-dust metallic effect and a clear strip of carbon running down the center. Then there is that rear wing. Inspired by the Koenigsegg One:1, named for its horsepower-to-weight (in kilograms) ratio, it is the largest wing ever attached to a Koenigsegg.
Apart from those bespoke treatments, the car shares all its mechanical awesomeness with the Agera RS. That means it has a five-liter, twin turbo V8 capable of putting out 1,160 horsepower and a seven-speed paddle shift transmission to snap your head back into its bucket carbon seats covered in memory foam.
