This week’s trailers are a wonderful mash-up of genre fun and prestige drama, ranging from horror to thriller to pure human angst. So, let’s dive in.

Kurt Russell is fighting cannibals in the Old West. I don’t know about you, but that’s all I need to know.

Fellow legends Charlotte Rampling and Tom Courtenay team up for this film about a lengthy marriage and a secret that threatens to shatter it. This is one of those movies you watch for the majesty of its performances.

Lauren Cohan (The Walking Dead) stars in this thriller about a nanny who takes a job only to realize that her charge is a Super Creepy doll. Of course, over the course of the film, it ends up being much more than just a doll. Get ready to be unnerved.

Jessica Biel and Zosia Mamet team up for this thriller about a woman (Biel) who finds and tries to rescue her long lost sister (Mamet) from a dangerous life. It might seem a little formulaic, but there’s enough tension in this trailer to get me interested.

Director Cary Fukunaga (True Detective) and stars Idris Elba (Luther) and Abraham Attah (a newcomer) unite for this intense Netflix Original Movie about a war-torn African country. It’s one of the most anticipated films of the year, not just because it’s a serious Netflix venture into film awards, but also because it looks absolutely fantastic.
