While the name ‘Bleona’ might be unfamiliar to most Americans, the Albanian singer’s message about her new single, “Take You Over”, seems like one that will resonate with strong-willed people everywhere.

“I don’t ever want to sing lyrics like, ‘Oh, you left me and now I’m crying.’”, Bleona says of her new song. “I’ve always had a strong do-it-yourself attitude and have believed that if something is important to you, you will find a way to make it happen.”

Although Bleona is already one of the best-selling recording artists in Eastern Europe, with more than 1.5 million albums sold, her introduction to U.S. audiences came with the Timbaland-produced track “Show Off” in 2010, followed by 2012’s “Pass Out” (feat. Timbaland and Brasco). You may also have heard of her around 2014, when she released the subtle track “F–k You I’m Famous.”

She already has one thing in common with Beyoncé: Her 'Take You Over’ music video shares a Director of Photography, Jeffrey Kelly, with Beyoncé’s “Drunk In Love.”

Her first American full-length album “I Am Bleona,” will be released in early 2016. To create the album’s beat-heavy breed of deeply melodic dance-pop, she teamed up with A-list producers RoccStar (Usher, Chris Brown, J.Lo), Fuego (Sia, Iggy Azalea, Jason Derulo), and Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins (Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Britney Spears).
