Lindsay Lohan returned to Instagram to share photos from her recent visit with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his wife. A few weeks back, she deleted all her posts from the social media site, including the poem she wrote earlier this year about wanting to fix “these idle Isis minds.”

Her account now has only three photos, all from her trip to Turkey. One caption praises President Erdogan for his efforts to help Syrian refugees.

It’s rare to read about a Mean Girls actress visiting a head of state, and Lohan seemed to acknowledge that she was having an unusual experience when she wrote, “This. Now. This moment. A moment in time. Is to forever exist.” She urged her followers to spread the hashtag #theworldisbiggerthan5, a slogan the Turkish government uses to promote involving more countries in the leadership of the UN Security Council. In the past, our coverage of Lohan has centered around how much of her cleavage is visible on a given day, so this jump from skin-baring sexpot to international activist has been hard to process.

Despite her wild past, Lohan is doing her best to avoid controversy, at least for the time being. She is currently in Dubai, and earlier today, she did a phone interview with an Australian radio show. The hosts played a 2004 clip in which Donald Trump describes Lohan (then 18) to Howard Stern, saying, “She’s probably deeply troubled and therefore great in bed.” Lohan refused to take the bait, saying, “I wish him the best,” and explaining that taking someone else down is never the answer.
