Lottie Moss and her half-sister—that would be Kate Moss—aren’t terribly close. Kate is 24 years older and had left home by the time Lottie was growing up, but Lottie does have Kate to thank for kickstarting her modeling career. She was a member of Kate’s wedding party back in 2011, and when photos from the wedding went public, Kate’s modeling agency reached out to Lottie’s parents about working with her. Lottie was 13 then, and she told The Telegraph, “I never really wanted to be a model when I was younger. It was something I didn’t think I could do—until I was scouted at my sister’s wedding. I remember thinking, "Yeah, that actually sounds fun.”’
Lottie’s modeling career got off to a slow start. “I was still at school when the agency saw me, and I mostly just did test shoots for a while. When I turned 16 they smoothed me into it and signed me up properly, and the work increased gradually from there.”
Now 18, Lottie is in high demand, and has decided to put off college to focus on her career. “I’m at my happiest when I model, so I figured I might as well do that. I could get a degree at any time. There’s no point doing one if you aren’t going to use it.”
In addition to appearing on the cover of French Vogue this year with male model Lucky Blue Smith, Lottie has modeled for designers like Calvin Klein, Bulgari and Sonia Rykiel. The 5'6" blonde is just as stunning as her half-sister Kate, and her Instagram feed is a good place to get lost in:
And remember: It’s always a good time to revisit sister Kate’s pictorial from our 60th anniversary issue.
