Last Thursday, GQ Magazine released photos from their newest issue featuring Amy Schumer. However, the Trainwreck star found herself mixing her new movie with a classic, Star Wars. The photos show Schumer in joking, sexual situations with characters like C-3PO and R2-D2.
However, on Friday, Lucasfilm responded to the pictures via Twitter by saying:
Lucasfilm & Disney did not approve, participate in or condone the inappropriate use of our characters in this manner.
Despite the negative feedback from Lucasfilm, Mark Hamill (aka Jedi Luke Skywalker) approved of the photos and took to Twitter on Saturday saying:
Got excited when I saw @amyschumer @GQMagazine pics & thought she was just cast in Ep 8! We should be so lucky.
Nice guess, Hamill. But with Schumer’s record, we’re not sure Disney would cast her in anything, let alone Star Wars.
