People just seem to get worked up over remakes. So when a remake of The Magnificent Seven was first announced, there was a notable percentage of the online community who had instantaneously strong dissenting opinions, even though the first one was a remake of Seven Samurai anyway. But as the cast filled out and details came to light—such as a Training Day director with a True Detective screenwriter—the masses got pretty excited…and then this full trailer dropped today and now everyone’s rightfully losing their minds because this looks so good and fun. I hope Halloween is just different versions of the Magnificent Seven this year.
