Marshawn Lynch is taking the food industry by storm. First came the Seattle Seahawks star’s enthusiasm for Skittles, which was definitively the greatest thing to ever air on HSN. Then came his hilarious and self-aware Pepsi commercial.
Now, the running back has conquered the final frontier of sugary, mass-market American culinary experiences: the Starbucks Frappuccino.
Lynch’s version of the blended drink—created with Starbucks to benefit his foundation—is a protein-packed caffeinated treat. Lynch tested flavors at the company’s Seattle headquarters, helping to come up with the perfect blend for his ‘Beast Mode Frappuccino’. The final product is a double chocolate Frappuccino made with protein powder and topped with whipped cream, a raspberry drizzle, and a sprinkle of matcha powder.
“I’d drink this before a workout,” Lynch says. “You could get your buff on with this.” The Beast Mode Frappuccino is available starting October 22nd through the rest of the NFL season. A portion of the proceeds—24 cents to represent Lynch’s jersey number—will be donated to Marshawn’s Family 1st Foundation.
