The 712-Page Marvel Comics Book Might Break Fanboys’ Coffee Tables

The 712-Page Marvel Comics Book Might Break Fanboys’ Coffee Tables: Taschen

Taschen

The list of Marvel Comics superheroes is a long one. Even if you aren’t a fanboy who preciously handles each new comic book like it’s an unstable chemical compound, you will recognize names like the Spider-Man, Captain America, and X-Men from the movie franchises. And with a roster that includes the Incredible Hulk, it is only appropriate that the history of Marvel Comics be chronicled in a book of Hulk-ian proportions.

Taschen published 75 Years of Marvel, a 17-pound, 712-page tome that spans from “the golden age to the silver screen.” The extra large book tells the tale of the famous and lesser superheroes in Marvel’s history and the story of the writers and illustrators who brought those characters to life.

The book publisher is no stranger to large format. Taschen previously put out a 66-pound “Sumo” book dedicated to photographer Helmut Newton and a 57-pound volume for Annie Leibovitz.

75 Years of Marvel costs $200 and is available at Taschen.com.
