Mass Effect is a major game series for a variety of reasons. Arguably one of the only titles in gaming that has moral quandaries that you as a character can impact, it also deals in hilarious uses of its characters. Now Mass Effect is back with a sprawling video game trailer that puts you in the commander boots yet again.

In Mass Effect: Andromeda, you are a pathfinder for a voyage attempting to find a habitable planet to relocate the human population. The transport ship contains 20,000 humans, and the power is running out. It is up to you to find a way for your ship to power back up. As usual, a shadowy figure is out to alter that plan, this time a tethered-frog-looking-alien man called the Archon.

The visuals look absolutely stunning, and the depth of play for the series is supposed to be massive. According to the website, the game seeks to improve upon mechanics of the old games significantly. Now you can use forward-operating bases to swap out weapons and teammates and fast travel across the map. This is a far cry from the days of the original game, where you had to return to your ship to change load outs. Also of note is a brand-new galaxy of open worlds to explore and chart.

Mass Effect Andromeda comes out March 21. It will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows.
