Pappy Van Winkle is one of the most sought after bourbons on the market right now. Having the drink on the menu gives a drinking establishment a whole new level of respect amongst liquor aficionados.

Meta bar in Louisville, Kentucky ordered a year’s worth of Pappy Van Winkle bourbon for the first time ever, and decided to celebrate the occasion. How? By putting all 365 days worth of the rare bourbon into jello shots.

That’s right. Meta took one of the rarest liquors on the market and put it into Jell-O. Apparently Kentuckians only like their alcohol straight from moonshine stills or mixed with candied desserts.

Starting at 5:30 p.m. yesterday, Meta began handing out these bourbon flavored jell-o shots for $10 each. Meta’s co-owner Jeremy Johnson told Insider Louisville, “It’s a way to have a little fun with how ridiculous it’s gotten. Just because it’s expensive, it doesn’t mean it’s the the best stuff on the market.” Says the guy charging people $10 for a jell-o shot.

The whole year’s worth of Pappy Van Winkle produced between 100 and 150 shots, which is about enough alcohol for two Kentuckians.
