| December 25, 2009 Tomorrow night—A post-Christmas treat: Barbara Stanwyck and Fred MacMurray in “REMEMBER THE NIGHT.” With a screenplay by Preston Sturges. On Sunday: James Cameron’s “AVATAR.” Next Thursday is New Year’s Eve and our annual New Year’s Eve party. Come join us and welcome the New Year. On Friday—New Year’s Day—we’ll be hanging out. And in the evening we’ll be screening “SHERLOCK HOLMES” with Robert Downey, Jr. and Jude Law. On Saturday—a week from tomorrow—to get the New Year started in a proper spirit: Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers in the Gershwin musical “SHALL WE DANCE?” And on Sunday—the first Sunday of the New Year: Alec Baldwin, Meryl Streep and Steve Martin in “IT’S COMPLICATED.” And now—Daniel Day Lewis, Penelope Cruz, Nicole Kidman and Sophia Loren in “NINE.” |
