If you missed out on the coveted Air Jordan 1 “Banned” kicks that released this past weekend, don’t fret. You can still lace up a pair…on your video game avatar. NBA 2K17 released a video that shows off the impressive array of sneakers that you’ll be able to play with in the latest edition of the game.
The “Kicks Matter” video showcases the 3D scanning that 2K utilized to create replicas of the sneakers. There are current models like the Nike Hyperdunk 2016 Elite that Paul George wears and the Adidas D Rose 7 that Derrick Rose will sport in his debut season with the New York Knicks. Additionally, there are plenty of classic kicks like the O.G. Converse Chuck Taylors, the Converse Weapons made popular by Magic and Bird, and Reebok’s Shaq Attaq IV.
Anyone who has appreciated Michael B. Jordan and Kobe Bryant in the Young Kobe/Old Kobe Apple TV ads will be glad to know that the entire collection of kicks that the Lakers star wore throughout his career (the Nike portion of his career, at least) are available in the game.
And sneakerheads will be excited to lace up shoes they usually only see on sneaker blogs. The video teases images of Drake’s OVO Jordan 10s, the quilted Just Don Jordan 2s, and for the true hypebeasts, the Adidas Yeezy Boost 350s.
NBA 2K17 is available for pre-order now and will release on September 20.
