The Craziest (And Most Expensive) Gifts In The Neiman Marcus Christmas Book

We know what you’re thinking. It isn’t even Halloween and already with the Christmas stuff? Can’t you at least wait until after Thanksgiving?

Normally we would try to hold off on the onslaught of holiday gift ideas until at least November, but Neiman Marcus recently put out its annual Christmas Book and there are some insane items in there that need to be called out. The department store’s annual holiday catalog started featuring over-the-top gifts in 1952 when Stanley Marcus added a live Angus bull and a sterling silver barbecue cart for $1,925. Since then the gifts (and the price tags) have grown even more extravagant.

Check out the 6 most insane gifts from this year’s Neiman Marcus Christmas Book.

1. Tanqueray No. Ten Imperial Shaker by Jason Crawley
$35,000, neimanmarcus.com
Cocktails don’t get much more luxurious than this. Standing five-feet tall this hand-cranked shaker is based off of a drawing from 1803. Legendary mixologist Jason Crawley partnered with Tanqueray to reengineer the device, which mixes cocktails with an elliptical motion rather than up and down. (Watch it in action here). Those willing to shell out 35K for the shaker will also receive a year’s supply of Tanqueray No. Ten gin (not to exceed four cases, though, so you can’t be a total lush), four custom shakers, and a personalized cocktail course for up to 20 guests.

$95,000, neimanmarcus.com
One of only 100 cars built to celebrate Maserati’s 100-year anniversary, the Ghibli S Q4 has an engine that was produced in collaboration with Ferrari. The 3.0-liter V6 twin turbo puts out 404 horsepower and reaches a top speed of 175 mph. But it also has all-wheel drive so you can stay in control in all driving conditions.

3. Preston Bailey Peacock Floral Sculpture
$65,000, neimanmarcus.com
Thinking of sprucing up your crib with some plants? (No, not that kind.) How about a six-foot tall peacock with a 10-foot long tail? The peacock is designed by celebrity event planner Preston Bailey and is constructed of silk flowers, crystals, and seasonal plantings. A smaller version is available for $25,000. But if you’re the kind of person who wants a peacock on your lawn, we’re guessing you think bigger is better.

4. The Slot Mods USA Ultimate Slot Car Raceway
$300,000, neimanmarcus.com
The slot car track is as iconic of a holiday gift as the model train set. But you’ve never seen a slot car track like this before. The builders will create an authentic 1:32 model of your favorite track that is approximately 30’-by-12’. That means you can have a recreation of Le Mans or the Nurburgring right in your home. Former Formula 1 driver Vic Elford and racing commentator David Hobbs will even swing by to help you break in the new track when it arrives.
