If you’re like me, you felt that the best scenes from Peter Jackson’s King Kong took place on Skull Island. I mean, how can you not love this level of insane bug carnage? My prayers for more nightmarish Skull Island action were answered the day I heard that Kong: Skull Island was coming out, and the trailer above confirms my heavenly wishes.

This one is far more tongue-in-cheek than the previous trailer, swapping a grim and foreboding tone for a rollicking adventure feel. The film clearly wants to bridge the hyper seriousness of the Christopher Nolan era with the campiness of yesterday’s monster films. Interestingly, there is a little easter egg for you Tim & Eric fans: John C. Reilly sports a jacket emblazoned with Dr. Steve Brule’s trademark line: “For your health!”. (Fine, the jacket reads “Good for your health.” Close enough.) The trailer also offers plenty of Kong himself, some gruesome cone-head monsters and an all-star cast including Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, John Goodman and Brie Larson.

Kong:Skull Island releases on March 10, 2017.
