The Next ‘Hitman’ Episode is About Stopping a Killer Supervirus

There’s a new Hitman episode on the way next week that will let players sneak around a coastal Italian town and murder a bunch of folks. If the last episode was any indication, it’ll probably be pretty hilarious.

This situation’s a bit more insidious than before, however. Whereas in Episode 1 you were tasked with eliminating the bosses of a criminal syndicate while they were having a very elaborate fashion show/party/illegal international spy auction in an enormous Paris chateau, the underlying story of Episode 2 is a bit spookier. Here’s the description that goes with developer IO Interactive’s trailer:

The beautiful, sun-drenched coastal town of Sapienza is full of new challenges and packed with opportunities for the creative assassin to explore.

Your main target is Silvio Caruso, a brilliant bioengineer reportedly working on a DNA-Specific virus able to infect anyone anywhere in the world.

DNA-specific virus, you say? That sounds downright supervillainous. It also means you get to sneak into a secret underground lab, wear cool hazmat suits, and probably kill your target with deliciously ironic methods like infecting him with his own killer disease. Hopefully there’s some crazy stuff in the lab you can make use of, too, like liquid nitrogen or giant mutated monsters.
