It’s good to be Neymar. The forward gets to play alongside Lionel Messi on FC Barcelona in Spain’s La Liga, where his team sits atop the standings and Neymar ranks fifth in goals scored. He is the captain of Brazil’s national team and has drawn comparisons to his home country’s greatest soccer legend Pele. The international soccer star is also somewhat of a style icon. Partial to bold hairstyles that reflect his creative flair on the field, Neymar is not shy about making statements with his sartorial choices.

That certainly seems to be the case with the Air Jordan V low that Neymar is reported to be collaborating on. After word leaked out earlier this year that Neymar would be working on a version of the iconic sneaker, the first images of the shoe were revealed thanks to Instagram user Mysole.

The most distinctive detail on the Jordan V low is that they feature Neymar’s number 10, the jersey number he wears with the Brazilian national team (he wears 11 for Barcelona). The number is stitched near the heel of the left shoe, while Jordan’s number 23 is near the heel of the right shoe. The shoe has a reflective metallic silver upper with specks of black throughout to create a splatter paint effect. The sneakers are further personalized with a “Neymar” label inside the tongue, as opposed to the traditional “Air Jordan” branding.

Neymar is the first soccer player to collaborate on an Air Jordan. He follows in the footsteps of other sports luminaries like Derek Jeter and Carmelon Anthony (and Drake). While it’s certainly a bold look for the Air Jordans, the shoes are tame compared with his signature style of cleats, which feature a bold black and white all over print that symbolizes “daring” and “joy,” the mantra that Neymar plays with.

There is no word yet on when these Air Jordan V lows will release, but you can see additional images of the sneakers below.
