In the taxonomy of babe-itude, there’s a branch way at the top of the hierarchy reserved for NFL cheerleaders, just above the Pussycat Dolls and a notch below “Derek Jeter girlfriends.” In honor of the upcoming Super Bowl, check out a few choice galleries and videos of the true stars of the National Football League.

This glorious gallery from our friends over at Holy Taco spotlights some of the NFL’s finest cheerleading squads, including Tampa Bay, Miami, Dallas, San Diego and Oakland. None of these teams made the Super Bowl, most likely because they couldn’t keep their eyes on the ball.
