As far as rap’s royal couples go, there really aren’t that many out there. Since there’s only one reigning queen, the genre’s ruling romantic pair will always be some variation of Nicki Minaj and (insert male rapper here).

For a long while, that rapper was rumored to be Drake. Then, Drake’s nemesis, Meek Mill, occupied the throne. But when Minaj posted a photo last month of her and Nas getting cozy at a restaurant, the internet swirled with rumors that the queen had finally found a king worthy of ruling alongside her.

During a recent interview with Ellen DeGeneres—whose ability to get celebrities to divulge closely guarded secrets is rivaled by perhaps only Howard Stern—Minaj did nothing to quell those rumors. Instead, she rolled them up into a tiny ball, dunked that ball in lighter fluid, and promptly lit a match.

With some deft probing from Ellen, Minaj revealed that she and the fellow Queens native have had “sleepovers.” But before you have visions of mini-rap gods running around their many mansions, Minaj made sure to clarify that she and Nas have yet to do “the nasty,” as Ellen so eloquently put it.

It would appear that after her tumultuous relationship with Meek Mill, Minaj has decided to take a break from men altogether. “I’m celibate,” she said. “I wanted to go a year without dating any men, I hate men. But I might make an exception to the rule for him.“

We’re officially one step closer to the most lit royal wedding ever.
