Decades of Super Mario love are what Nintendo is counting on to sell players on Super Mario Maker, and with this new trailer for the upcoming game, it seems to be working.

The trailer recounts classic Mario moments all the way back to 1985’s Super Mario Bros., then demonstrates how players can recreate them in Super Mario Maker, which is designed around building your own Mario courses. The cool thing, of course, is that while the trailer shows Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario World and New Super Mario Bros., players will be able to mash up elements from all of them to create newer, crazier courses.

In fact, the trailer hints at some of the ridiculous and downright mean courses players can create. At San Diego Comic-Con 2015, it seemed like just about every Mario Maker level Nintendo had on display toed the thin line between “impossible” and “hopelessly, hilariously impossible.” So it seems like Mario Maker will perfectly capture what it was like playing as a six-year-old.
