Meet eight women ready to steal your heart, as well as anything else that’s within reach. The first image from Ocean’s Eight has turned up online, and it’s anything but a mugshot.
The photo is the first chance for audiences to see the latest team of all-star thieves. Sandra Bullock plays Debbie Ocean—who may or may not be the sister of George Clooney’s Danny Ocean from the Steven Soderbergh-directed trilogy—while her team consists of Tammy (Sarah Paulson), Daphne Kluger (Anne Hathaway), Lou (Cate Blanchett), Constance (Awkwafina, AKA Nora Lum), Rose (Helena Bonham-Carter), Amita (Mindy Kaling) and Nine-Ball (Rhianna).
Not seen in the photo, but appearing in the movie, is a host of famous names including Kim Kardashian (who was recently spotted on set with Kendall Jenner), Damian Lewis and Anna Wintour, to name just three. Matt Damon has also confirmed that he’ll show up, reprising his character from Ocean’s Eleven through Thirteen.
The movie will be directed by The Hunger Games and Seabiscuit’s Gary Ross, who also co-wrote the screenplay with newcomer Olivia Milch. While the plot remains under wraps, the new Ocean collective will reportedly be planning the latest heist of the century by infiltrating the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Benefit, or, as it’s better known, the Met Gala, an annual get-together of the rich, stylish and ready-to-be-ripped off.
Ocean’s 8 is set to drop June 8 of next year.
