The music of Super Mario Bros. 3 is pretty iconic among gamers, and while many fans and musicians have covered it over the years, it’s possible no one has ever been as big a stickler for detail as YouTube’s Samurai Guitarist, Steve Onotera.
Onotera turned his talents toward the crazily detailed recreation of the game’s music in the video above. He plays all the parts on different video tracks, recreating everything down to the game’s sound effects, and applies his talents to guitar, bass, banjo, drums, harmonica, keyboard, accordion, washboard—he even gets down with a talk box (had to Google the name of that one).
Next, let’s try to get Onotera to do the same thing, but with the Super Mario Bros. Super Show. And he has to voice all the parts, including the raps. That would be some talent.
