The end of the year is typically a time to look back. “Best of 2016” lists abound, regardless of whether they’re for movies, songs, or Trump tweets. But Pantone, the foremost authority on color, is already looking forward to the future and has identified one major trend for next year. The company which maintains the de facto library of color recently announced that Greenery is the color of 2017.

Greenery is officially known as color 15-0343, and is a yellow-green shade familiar from plants and grass. Pantone says Greenery is “nature’s neutral” and sends a signal to consumers to “take a deep breath, oxygenate and reinvigorate.”

If you think picking a color of the upcoming year in December is a little like identifying the “song of the summer” in the spring, a look at last year’s winner shows that Pantone knows what it’s talking about. One of the co-colors of 2016 was Rose Quartz, which paved the way for a lot of guys to feel OK wearing pink.

This was the third time in the past eight years that a shade of green was named color of the year. Emerald took the honors in 2013 while Turquoise held it down in 2010.

For those who can’t wait for the ball to drop to start spending their green on that greenery, here are a few pieces to get you started.
