When you make about an estimated $22 million in a single year, you can pretty much buy whatever you damn well please. And for producer/entrepreneur/weird vintage Vivienne Westwood hat obsessed Pharrell, this means owning another ridiculous property. Because closet space.
The 11-time Grammy winner and multimedia mogul who produces songs that plague the radio for 9 months just secured one of the most photographed homes in Los Angeles for $7.14 million. The 4,415 square-foot mini-compound that has two separate pavilions sits about as high above Laurel Canyon as you can possibly be. Designed by acclaimed architect Hagy Belzberg, the gated glass marvel has 6 bedrooms and 5 full and 2 half bathrooms.
Needless to say it’s one of the most drooled-over properties in L.A., and for good reason. Apart from the solid walls of glass, a dining deck with built-in barbecue station, infinity-edge lap pool, spa and the absurd view of all of L.A., it’s pretty much secluded from everything which is perfect for a celeb like Pharrell. There’s even a terrace on the garage that serves as a viewing platform for films that can be played onto wall of the elaborate guesthouse.
Personally, I’d be paranoid of mountain lions all the way up there. But maybe Pharrell’s hats can just serve as a distraction for them while he gets away, or something.
