Back in October, Playboy announced that we would be removing nudity from the magazine starting with the March 2016 issue. Well, that issue will be coming out next week, which means it’s time to start unveiling how we’ve transformed our iconic publication.
We’ve produced a number of memorable covers in the 62 year history of Playboy, and we think the cover for the upcoming issue will be remembered for years to come:
The cover features model Sarah McDaniel. As you can see, she has two different-colored eyes, a condition known as heterochromia irdum. This gives her a unique look that makes her stand out in the modeling world.
The cover is also designed to present a more intimate experience for the reader. “The idea was to look at me from a boyfriend’s perspective,” Sarah says. This theme is further reflected in McDaniel’s pictorial in the magazine. Both the cover and pictorial were shot by Theo Wenner.
To see more photos from Sarah’s pictorial, as well as some outtakes, you can head over here.
As you can probably tell, the cover of the March issue is designed to resemble a Snapchat picture. Before we could let Sarah pose for this cover, we had to make sure she was an expert at using the highly popular app. She easily proved that she’s a “Snapchat Master,” and even allowed us to put her videos together into a very sexy compilation. Take a look:
Sarah is not the only woman to be featured in the new non-nude Playboy. Dree Hemingway, the daughter of actress Mariel Hemingway and great-granddaughter of author Ernest Hemingway, is the first non-nude Playmate in the magazine’s history. If you want to see any of our content featuring Dree and get a glimpse at the future of the Playmate, we’ve compiled a preview right here on the site.
There will also be a pictorial featuring model Myla Dalbesio. You can see a sneak peek at her photos right over here. You’ll also find out that the photographer for her shoot is none other than Myla herself.
The March 2016 issue will hit newstands next Friday, February 12th. Be sure to pick up a copy and to see all of Sarah’s pictures and the complete transformation of this iconic men’s magazine.
