According to a new poll from Public Policy Polling, 30 percent of Republicans support bombing Agrabah, as do 19 percent of Democrats. For the record, Agrabah is the fictitious setting of Disney’s Aladdin.

As you might expect, supporters of Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump are even more enthusiastic about attacking the nonexistent country. Forty-one percent of Trump’s backers are ready to go to war with the cartoon kingdom. To be fair, if we’re talking about a targeted strike against Jafar, I agree with them.

However, there’s a catch. I spoke with Jim Williams, a polling analyst at Public Policy Polling. He explained that the poll was conducted with an automated system, which means even if a participant knew Agrabah did not exist, they would still have to chose an answer. So while it’s possible the participants who support bombing Agrabah are idiots, it’s also possible that many were simply giving a stupid answer to a stupid question. So take it all with a grain of salt.

That said, kudos to Public Policy Polling on some next-level trolling. Nice work.
