Everybody likes to dress up occasionally. Whether it’s your favorite shirt or a nice pair of sneakers you’ve been saving for a special occasion, it feels good to wear your finest duds. Nobody can compete with pop sensation Rihanna, though, who trumps anyone when it comes to a special outfit. RiRi attended the Crop Over Festival in her native Barbados over the weekend and sported one of the most extravagant, jaw-dropping ensembles I’ve ever seen. She posted plenty of pictures of it online and the comments by some guys were as thirsty as a jog through the Sahara desert.
Here’s Rihanna twerking because you know you want to see it.
The “dress” (what the hell do you call that?), which was made for Kadooment Day, the biggest day of the festival, was inspired The Hunger Games’ Mockingjay. Lauren Austin, the lead designer of famed costume band Zulu International, was the one who crafted this masterpiece. What do you even do with a piece like that after you’ve worn it? Does it sit in Rihanna’s closet next to an old Mickey Mouse sweatshirt? Or does it go to a a museum somewhere? Or does it get sold online for hundreds of thousands of dollars for some creepy dude to wear to sleep? So many questions!
Here’s the rest of Rihanna’s incredible pictures. Forget the outfit, the festival looks like so much fun!
