This weekend, MMA great Ronda Rousey joins the long list of athletes who’ve dared to run the Saturday Night Live gauntlet, and we get to find out if another first-time host (Rousey is the fifth in 11 episodes this season) can deliver. Yes, Rousey has her share of acting experience, and her resume is only growing, but SNL is a uniquely challenging performance experience, and hosts who aren’t used to it range from brilliant (Adam Driver) to disastrous (Doanld Trump).

If Rousey’s promos for the show are any indication, though, she’ll hold her own. She’s got an easy chemistry with Beck Bennett, she shows a willingness to be goofy and there’s a relaxed charm to her interaction with Cecily Strong and musical guest Selena Gomez. My big question is how well she’ll be able to hold back laughter in live sketches… which to be honest, might not be a problem even if she can’t, because celebrities breaking up are traditionally viral video gold for the show.

SNL airs Saturday at 11:30 EST on NBC.
