Here’s What the Royal Navy Thinks Warships Might Look like in 2050:

Is this the future of modern naval warfare? According to leading British electronic companies and naval defense experts, it just might be.

The “Dreadnought 2050” concept ship looks like something a James Bond villain might think up, but the British Royal Navy hopes it will become reality. According to Unilad the ship could be operated by a crew of 50 men, as opposed to the 200 it takes to man a comparable boat in today’s navy.

The ship will also feature a drone flight deck, a tethered quad-copter, and a 3D holographic command table. Of course at this point it’s just a concept ship, so why not throw in a pack of unicorns? And while we’re at it, let’s just say the ship’s captain will be a clone of the late, great Biggie Smalls.
